A day in the life of freedom

I think that most of us spend most of our time wrapping our behavior and displays (home, clothing, hairstyle, use of language) around what others think of us – or might think of us.  I realize that the system keeps a lot of inappropriate exposition from view, and that really can be a good thing, but I think it makes us paranoid and closed in and generally captive.  Imagine if we didn’t worry about what other people thought?  Imagine if we were ‘permitted’ to release ourselves from that tension?  It is actually impossible to complete that idea, for me.  Impossible to seriously consider much deviation from the predictable path.  And that is a concern.  It shouldn’t be that way, especially in a world intent (we are intent on this, biologically speaking) on nurturing our true nature.  There is too much tension in the balance.

When I light a candle in my kitchen and poor ladles of soup into six bowls, I like that I have given in.
