nurturing our children

Last night we stood in sprinkling rain verging on snow and listened as our son Marino gave his first piano performance to the entire Montessori Schule community at the winter festival.  It was so sweet.  He stood there proudly, and I could see his lips moving as he whispered numbers to keep time, and I reflected on how extraordinary it all is – the reading café nearby, where books and hot tea can mingle among whispers of shared excitement for being young and inspired – for the richness of connecting across wooden boards and brush strokes and towers of human toil.

I pored over the offerings at the stands and lingered by the fire.  Parents gathered and retreated to trace steps of wandering happy children and we all found resonance there.

23 words for today, shall I?

The shapes sometimes all run together as mingling energies cannot contain themselves and become part of the greater mass of elements threatening release!

light & peace,

Sabrina
